In February 1966 the City of Cypress was fast emerging from the image of being a small, rural dairy city. Neighborhood women gathered responding to an invitation from an existing junior woman's club to unite women who were interested in cultural, educational, civic, and social welfare activities. The GFWC Woman's Club of Cypress began and was federated and organized on March 7, 1966, and incorporated October 16, 1972. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving our local community and other organizations worldwide.
